The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act, which will authorise the stopping-up of an area of highway at 84 Moorland Road and junction of Dene Rise, Witney, Oxfordshire OX28 6LQ. If the Order is made, the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to Mr and Mrs F Hickman on appeal by the Planning Inspectorate on 27 July 2004, under Appeal Ref APP/D3125/A/04/1140332. Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected at all reasonable hours during the 28 days commencing on 15 December 2004, at the Witney Library, Welsh Way, Witney, Oxfordshire OX28 6TH, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Transport Team Leader, Government Office for the South East (quoting Ref GOSE 029/001/OXON/085) at the address below. During the above-mentioned period of 28 days anyone may object to the making of the Order by writing to the Secretary of State, quoting Ref GOSE/029/001/OXON/085 and addressing their objection to the Transport Team Leader, Government Office for the South East, Third Floor, Bridge House, 1 Walnut Tree Close, Guildford GU1 4GA. In the preparation of an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection may be communicated to the applicant and other people who may be affected by it.
