HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116 AND SCHEDULE 12

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO APPLY FOR AN ORDER AUTHORISING THE STOPPING-UP OF A HIGHWAY

Notice is hereby given that the Ashford Borough Council intend to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at Tufton Street, Ashford, Kent, on Wednesday 2 February 2005, at 10.00 am, for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the stopping-up of an area of highway off the end of Thomson Road, Ashford, Kent on the ground that it is unnecessary.
The effect of the proposed Order is shown on a plan which has been deposited for public inspection, free of charge, at the offices of Ashford Borough Council at the Civic Centre, Tannery Lane, Ashford, Kent, from Monday to Friday inclusive during normal office hours.
