NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that H J Banks (Mining) Ltd, Thrislington Industrial Estate, West Cornforth, County Durham, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole in Coal Measures Strata at National Grid Ref SE 3771 0197 at Wombwell, Barnsley. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 11 cubic metres per hour, 264 cubic metres per day, 15,000 cubic metres per year between April and October 2005. The water will be used for dust suppression and augmentation of a fishing lake. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Woodhead Opencast site, Wombwell, between 10 January and 10 February 2004. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds LS11 8PG, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
