NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Waldersey Farms Limited, of Northfield Farm, Lynn Road, Southery, Downham Market, Norfolk PE28 0HT, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the Great Ouse River, Southery & District Internal Drainage Board Main Drains and farm dykes between National Grid Refs TL 6022 9644 and TL 6042 9680, TL 6058 9626 and TL 6083 9677, TL 6084 9730 and TL 6114 9811, TL 6086 9768 and TL 6140 9764, TL 6041 9671 and TL 6094 9629 in the parish of Hilgay in the District of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk in the county of Norfolk. The proposal is to abtract water at the following rates: 33.3 litres per second, 2,880 cubic metres per day, 75,000 cubic metres per year between 1 April and 31 October each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation of arable crops. The above application is to replace an existing licence which expired on 31 October 2004. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Northfield Farm, Lynn Road, Southery, Downham Market, Norfolk, between 7 March 2005 and 7 April 2005.
