NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO MODIFY PUBLIC PATH ORDER
WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL (FOOTPATH NOS 30, 31 AND 32 NORTHLEW) DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2000

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to paragraph 8(2) of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, that the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs proposes to modify the Devon County Council (Footpath Nos 30, 31 and 32 Northlew) Definitive Map Modification Order 2000 by providing for: Deletion from the title of the Order of Footpath No 30; Deletion from the Order Map of Footpath 30 (shown as A-B-C) and part of Footpath 31 (shown as D-H) leaving Footpath 31 identified as H-E-F; Amendment of Part 1 of the Schedule to the Order as follows: (a) deletion of the entry for Footpath 30; (b) deletion of the words “on the minor county road . . . .” in line 2 of the description for Footpath 31 to “ of two fields” in line 6 of the entry from Footpath 31 and substitution of the words “at the junction with Footpath 32 at Point H (GR SS 5189/0054) on the Order Plan ED/PROW/00/41, and proceeds north-eastwards”; (c) deletion of the length “1,220 metres” in line 16 of the description for Footpath 31; (d) deletion of the grid Ref for Point G in line 3 of the description for Footpath 32 and substitution of grid Ref SX 5147/9997. Amendment of Part II of the Schedule to the Order as follows: (a) deletion of the entry for Footpath 30; (b) deletion of the words “on the minor county road” in line 1 of the particulars for Footpath 31 to “of two fields” in line 4 and substitution of the words “at the junction with Footpath 32 and proceeds north-eastwards”; (c) deletion of the length “1,220 metres” in line 11 of the particulars for Footpath 31. A copy of the Order and map as submitted and a copy of a map showing the proposed modifications, together with the Secretary of State’s letter dated 1 July 2005, have been deposited at the Public Rights of Way Service, Devon County Council, Environment Department, County Hall, Topsham Road, Exeter and at the Local Service Office, Brayhams, North Road, Okehampton, where they may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours. Any representation or objection with respect to the proposed modifications may be sent in writing to the Secretary of State, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Planning Team, 2 Rivergate, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6EH quoting Ref FPS/J1155/7/11M not later than 16 September 2005 and should state the grounds on which it is made. It should be noted that any such representation or objection will be made available for viewing by interested parties at the Council Offices on request.
