Speaker’s Notice
I hereby give Notice that it has been certified to me in writing under the hands of two Members of the House of Commons, in the manner required by the Recess Elections Act 1975, that the Right Honourable Robin Cook, Member of Parliament for the County Constituency of Livingston died on the Sixth day of August 2005. Accordingly, pursuant to the said Act, I shall issue my Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery to make out a New Writ for the Election of a Member to serve as Member of Parliament for the County Constituency of Livingston in the place of the said Right Honourable Robin Cook, at the end of six days after the insertion of this Notice in The London Gazette .
