1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Islington proposes
to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 32, 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 of,
and Part IV of Schedule 9, to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. 2. The
general effect of the parking places Order would be to: (a) provide additional parking
space, re-designate parking places for different users and make certain other changes
to bring the Order in line with the on-street layout in the roads referred to in the
Schedule to this notice; (b) provide that the parking places would be available for
use between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, and between 8.30 am
and 1.30 pm on Saturdays; and (c) provide that the charges for the use of the parking
places would be as follows: (i) residents’ permits; £95 per year, a reduced rate of
£75 per year for a vehicle that is fuel cell powered, gas powered, hybrid system powered
or with an engine capacity of 1399 cc or less, a reduced rate of £35 per year for
a solo motorcycle or a reduced rate of £0 per year (no charge) for an electric powered
vehicle; (ii) (residents’) visitor vouchers; 60p per hour up to a maximum of 6 hours
per day with half hour and 3 hour duration vouchers; (iii) all day visitors’ vouchers;
£6 per voucher with a limit of 5 vouchers per year per resident; (iv) hired vehicles
residents’ permits; £10 per year for use with hired vehicles residents’ vouchers;
(v) hired vehicles residents’ vouchers; 40p per hour; (vi) permits to park; £15 per
day, £300 for 1 month, £600 for 2 months, £900 for 3 months, £1,800 for 6 months or
£3,000 for 12 months; (vii) all day annual business permits; £600 per year, or a reduced
rate of £480 per year for an electric powered vehicle; (viii) business permits; £10
per year for use with business vouchers; (ix) business vouchers; 80p per hour; (x) for
the leaving of a vehicle in a pay and display or a shared use parking place; between
£2.00 and £3.60 per hour (minimum charge of between 20p for 6 minutes and 30p for
5 minutes with a maximum stay of 2 hours). 3. The general effect of the Solo Motorcycle
Parking Places Order would be to provide secure motorcycle parking places in Alwyne
Square, Bridgeman Road, Caledonian Road, Elizabeth Avenue, Gibson Square, Halliford
Street, Harecourt Road, Highbury Crescent, Highgate Hill, Lofting Road, Offord Street,
Pleasant Place, Rosoman Place, Rotherfield Street, St Paul Street and Wyclif Street
that would operate “at any time”. 4. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading
Restriction Order would be to: (a) make certain changes to the provision of waiting
restrictions to allow for the provision of parking places referred to in paragraph
2(a) above; (b) prohibit waiting “at any time” at certain junctions and other lengths
of road in Arundel Place, Crescent Street, Mountfort Terrace and Westbourne Road and
in those roads referred to in paragraph 2(a) above to allow access and the free flow
of traffic; (c) make certain changes to the provision of waiting restrictions in certain
of those roads referred to paragraphs 2(a) or 4(b) above to bring the Waiting and
Loading Restriction Consolidation Order in line with the on-street layout; and (d) remove
certain loading restrictions from Bewdley Street and Offord Road to allow for the
provision of parking space. 5. The general effect of the disabled persons’ parking
places Order would be to make certain changes to bring the disabled persons’ parking
places consolidation Order in line with the on-street layout. 6. A copy of the proposed
Orders, plans indicating details of the proposals, and the Council’s statement of
reasons for proposing to make the Orders, can be inspected during normal office hours
until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or
as the case may be, the Council decide not to make the Orders, at the following location:

Orders should send a statement in writing, specifying the grounds on which they are
