Notice is hereby given that application has been made for a Faculty for the demolition of the existing Victorian narthex, the construction of a two-storey extension to the west end to provide meeting rooms, kitchen facilities, toilets and a reception area. This will involve the relocation of headstones and monuments of the following and the recording and reinterment of any disturbed remains: Edward Sparshott, Admiral of the Royal Navy (died 9 November 1873); Kaziah Cosier and George Porter Cosier (dates unreadable on memorial); Joanna Marchant (died 22 February 1869) and William Marchant (died 1900); William Fox (died 15 November 1886) and Jane Fox (died 1 January 1889); Elizabeth Atkins (died 12 January 1880) and Thomas Atkins (died 27 August 1894) gardener at Botley Hill; Ann Lewry (died 31 August 1914), Alfred John Lewry (died 30 June 1931) William A Lewry (died 12 April 1966) and Flora Elsie Lewry (died 7 December 1969); Ethel Lewry nee Moris (1908-1984) and Joan Lewry (1936-1998); Gertrude Mary Lewry (died 15 December 1877). Graves may be rendered inaccessible. A plan showing the area of churchyard concerned and a list of the graves therein can be inspected at All Saints’ Church, Botley and the Diocesan Registrar’s office. Any objection to the grant of such Faculty should be notified in writing within 21 days of publication of this notice to Diocesan Registrar, 288 West Street, Fareham, Hampshire PO16 0AJ.
