PROPOSED TEESPORT (LAND ACQUISITION) ORDER
NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR AN ORDER

PD Teesport Limited (“the Company”) of 17-27 Queen’s Square, Middlesbrough TS2 1AH, have applied to the Secretary of State for Transport under section 6 of the Transport and Works Act 1992, for an Order under sections 3 and 5 of that Act. The draft Order makes provision for the compulsory acquisition of land or rights to use land or any easements or other rights in land at Tees Dock in the borough of Redcar and Cleveland. The land referred to above is required in connection with the development of part of the Company’s undertaking at Tees Dock. An application for planning permission relating to part of that land was made to Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council on 26 April 2006 and the remainder of that land (which is covered by water) is the area in the River Tees proposed to be reclaimed under the provisions of the proposed Teesport Harbour Revision Order application for which was made to the Secretary of State on 27 April 2006. Any objections to, or other representations about, the proposals in the application should be sent to the Secretary of State for Transport c/o Department for Transport, TWA Orders Unit, Zone 9/09, Southside, 105 Victoria Street, London SW1E 6DT, on or before 7 July 2006. An objection or representation MUST (i) be received by the Secretary of State on or before 7 July 2006; (ii) be made in writing; (iii) state the grounds of the objection or representation; (iv) indicate who is making the objection or representation; and (v) give an address to which correspondence relating to the objection or representation may be sent. The Secretary of State may make objections and other representations public and will copy them to the applicant for the Order.
