The following notice is in substitution for that which appeared on page 9206 of The London Gazette dated 6 July 2006:

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116 AND TWELFTH SCHEDULE

Notice is hereby given that the Rochdale Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred on them intend to apply to the Rochdale Middleton and Heywood Magistrates’ Court at The Court House, Town Meadows, Rochdale OL16 1BR, on Wednesday 16 August 2006, at 9.45 am, for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the closure of: The alleyway of varying widths running between the rear of 63 to 79 Argyle Street and 26 to 34 Unity Crescent for a distance of 43 metres then turning in a generally north westerly direction along the boundary of 79 Argyle Street to the rear of the footway adjacent to 79 Argyle Street, Heywood for a distance of 26 metres. The effect of the said Order is shown on the plan which may be inspected free of charge at the Borough Solicitor’s Office, The Rochdale Borough Council, Town Hall, Rochdale and the Customer Services Centre, 44-46 Market Street, Heywood, during normal office hours.
