DECLARATION OF A NATIONAL NATURE RESERVE
PARISHES OF LUSTLEIGH, MANATON AND BOVEY TRACEY, COUNTY OF DEVON
Notice is hereby given, in pursuance of section 19(1) of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 and section 35(1) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, English Nature hereby declare that the land having a total area of 1.68 hectares or thereabouts, situated in the parish of Manaton in the county of Devon and shown single hatched and shaded yellow on the attached map(s) has been acquired and is being held by English Nature. And in pursuance of section 19(2) of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 and section 35(1) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and all other powers aforesaid, English Nature hereby further declare that the said land is being managed as a nature reserve. This Declaration is additional to the land previously declared, which is shown unhatched and shaded yellow on the maps attached to the document. This Declaration may be referred to as the East Dartmoor Woods and Heaths National Nature Reserve No 4 Declaration 2006. Certified copies of the East Dartmoor Woods and Heaths National Nature Reserve No 4 Declaration 2006 have been deposited for public inspection, free of charge, during normal office hours at the offices of Devon County Council, the Dartmoor National Park Authority and at the offices of English Nature in Exeter and Peterborough.
