ST MARY’S PARISH CHURCH, LOUGHTON, ESSEX (02.10)

The Parish of St Mary the Virgin, Loughton, are petitioning for a faculty for the building of a New Church Centre, incorporating the existing church (built 1872). Proposal is to build two-storey halls complex to north of church; and a narthex across full west frontage of church, linking the halls to church interior. Scheme requires demolition of existing west porch; the piercing of west wall of church to provide new entrance to church, the restoration and resiting of stained glass window, plus internal reordering.
