COMPULSORY PURCHASE OF LAND AND NEW RIGHTS IN THE DISTRICT OF TAMESIDE AND IN THE DISTRICT OF HIGH PEAK IN THE COUNTY OF DERBYSHIRE

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has prepared in draft the A57/A628/A616 Hyde to M1 Trunk Road (A57/A628 Mottram to Tintwistle Bypass) Compulsory Purchase Order (MP No.), 200. under Sections 239, 240, 246 and 260 of the Highways Act 1980. He is about to make this Order, and if made, the Order will authorise the Secretary of State for Transport to purchase compulsorily the land and the new rights described below for the purpose of :- (i) the construction of the new trunk road at Longdendale in the district of Tameside and in the Parish of Tintwistle in the district of High Peak in the County of Derbyshire in pursuance of the A57/A628/A616 Hyde to M1 Trunk Road (A57/A628 Mottram to Tintwistle Bypass) Order 200 ; (ii) the construction and improvement of highways and the provision of new means of access to premises in those parishes and districts in pursuance of the A57/A628/A616 Hyde to M1 Trunk Road (A57/A628 Mottram to Tintwistle Bypass) (Side Roads) Order 200.; (iii) the improvement of the Trunk Road in those parishes and districts; (iv) the diversion of watercourses and the execution of other works on watercourses in connection with the construction of the new trunk road, the construction and improvement of other highways and the execution of other works mentioned above; (v) use by the Secretary of State for Transport in connection with such construction and improvement of highways and the execution of other works mentioned above; and (vi) the mitigation of any adverse effects which the existence or use of the highways proposed to be constructed or improved will have on their surroundings.
