PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000
INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that G E Porter and Sons Ltd and J Porter and Son have applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an installation involving the rearing of poultry intensively in an installation with more than 40,000 places for poultry and the rearing of pigs intensively in an installation with more than 2,000 places for production pigs (over 30 kg) and 750 places for sows. The installations are located at Poplar Farm and Barn Farm, Lowfields, Navenby, Lincoln LN5 0LN, in the district of North Kesteven, in the county of Lincolnshire.

The application contains the information required by the regulations, including a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. This information is held in registers at the following locations:

IPPC Public Register, Environment Agency, Kingfisher House, Goldhay Way, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough PE2 5ZR; and IPPC Public Register, North Kesteven District Council, Environmental Services, District Council Offices, Kesteven Street, Sleaford NG34 7EF.

Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses during normal office hours (9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday). In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying.

Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice.

Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
