HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
THE TRANSPORT FOR LONDON (A406 – BOUNDS GREEN ROAD TO GREEN LANES SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENTS) (SIDE ROADS) ORDER 2007
Transport for London hereby gives notice that it has made, and submitted to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation, an Order under sections 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980.
(1) for authorising Transport for London:
(a) to carry out improvements to A109 Station Road, A109 Bounds Green Road, Tewkesbury Terrace, Lower Maidstone Road, Hastings Road, Bexhill Road, Milton Grove, Pevensey Avenue, A1110 Bowes Road, Wilmer Way, Ollerton Road, Stanley Road, Highworth Road, Warwick Road, Natal Road, Powys Lane, Brownlow Road, Livingstone Road, Moffat Road, Broomfield Road, Pymmes Road, Pymmes Close, Palmerston Road, Green Lanes (North), Green Lanes (South) Melville Gardens, Oakthorpe Road and Callard Avenue.
(b) to stop up lengths of A109 Bounds Green Road, Tewkesbury Terrace, Evesham Road, Pevensey Avenue, A1110 Bowes Road, Wilmer Way, Stanley Road, Powys Lane, Broomfield Road, Pymmes Close, Palmerston Crescent and Green Lanes (South).
(c) to construct new highways to take the place of the highways stopped up.
(d) to stop up the following private means of access to premises:
access on the north-west side of A406 Telford Road to the premises of N&C Nicobond Ltd
access on the north side of A406 Bowes Road to the east of 190 Bowes Road
access on the north side of A406 Bowes Road to the west of 186 Bowes Road
access on the north side of A406 Bowes Road to the west of 172 Bowes Road
access on the north side of A406 Bowes Road between 154 and 156 Bowes Road
access to the culvert on the north side of A406 Bowes Road to the east of the Kings Cross to Cambridge railway line
access on the north side of A406 Bowes Road to Broadway Mews, and
(e) to provide new means of access to the said premises,
All on or in the vicinity of the route of the classified road which Transport for London is proposing to improve from a point 138 metres south west of its junction with the A109 Station Road/Bounds Green Road, in the London Borough of Haringey to a point 13 metres east of its junction with Connaught Gardens in the London Borough of Enfield, and
(2) to transfer certain of the above-mentioned new highways to the highway authorities respectively specified thereto in the Order.
Copies of the Order and of the relevant plans may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours from 11 September 2007 at:
(a) the offices of Transport for London at 4th Floor, 84 Eccleston Square, London SW1V 1PX
(b) the offices of the London Borough of Enfield, Environment, Street Scenes and Parks, Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield EN1 3XE
(c) the offices of the London Borough of Haringey, Tottenham Town Hall, Town Hall Approach Road, Tottenham, London N15 4RY
(d) Bowes Road Library, 269 Bowes Road, London N11 1BD, and
(e) Enfield Central Library, Cecil Road, Enfield EN2 6TW.
Any person may not later than 26 October 2007 object to the confirmation of the Order by notice to the Secretary of State for Transport, Government Office for the North East, Local Authority Orders Section, Wellbar House, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4TD, stating the grounds of their objection.
