STOPPING-UP OF A HIGHWAY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hartlepool Borough Council, the Highway Authority, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Law Courts, Victoria Road, Hartlepool, on Monday 14th July at 2.15 p.m. for an Order pursuant to Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 that those lengths of highway referred to in the Schedule hereto be stopped-up on the ground that they are unnecessary. A copy of a plan (drawing number M50, 574) showing those parts of the highway to be stopped-up may be inspected free-of-charge during normal office hours at the Legal Division of the Chief Executive’s Department, Civic Centre, Victoria Road, Hartlepool.

Section of highway in Stockton Street

The section of highway to be stopped up is situated in Stockton Street and is from the end of Albert Street going north for a distance of 98 metres in length and varies in width from 5.4metres to 1.7 metres.
