ROYAL COMMISSION INVITES COMMENTS ON TOPICS FOR FUTURE STUDY
The Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution today announced that its next major study would be on “The environmental impact of demographic change in the UK”.
The Chair of the Royal Commission, Sir John Lawton, said today: “Demographic change is likely to have important environmental consequences in the UK, and so far these seem to have received little attention. We hope our study will show what these are and help us to understand what can be done to prepare for them.”
To help it set the scope of the study, the Royal Commission is inviting comments and information from anyone who wishes to contribute. The deadline for responses is Friday, 12 June 2009.
