CHURCH OF ST JOHN THE EVANGELIST SKIRWITH

Take notice that the Incumbent and Churchwardens of the parish of Skirwith have petitioned for a Faculty to effect the following work at the Church of St John the Evangelist Skirwith:

1. Major repairs to the tower including dismantling and re-building the spire, tower roof and parapets.

2. Masonry repairs and re-pointing.

3. Work to the floors and ladders in the tower.

4. Remove, refurbish and re-hang the bells and repair bell frame.

5. Masonry repairs and re-pointing west gable or nave.

6. Part re-roof.

7. Repair west gable window internal and external scaffolding and temporary roofs and weather protection.

Copies of the relevant plans and documents may be examined at 1 Low Farm, Langwathby, Penrith CA10 1NH. If you wish to object to any of the works or proposals you should write giving reasons for your objection to the Diocesan Registrar, Mrs B J Lowdon of The Cube, Barrack Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 6DB so that it reaches the Registrar not later than 28 days from the date of publication of this notice stating your name and postal address, and whether you live in the parish and/or your name is entered on the electoral roll of the parish or any other capacity in which you write.
