DEPLOYMENT OF MET BUOY AT THE PROPOSED WEST OF DUDDON SANDS OFFSHORE WINDFARM

Notice is hereby given that ScottishPower Renewables has applied to the Marine and Fisheries Agency under section 34 of the Coast Protection Act 1949, as amended by section 36 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1988, for consent to deploy a Met Buoy at the proposed West of Duddon Sands Offshore Windfarm.

Plans showing the position of the works may be inspected at:

Fleetwood Library, North Albert Street, Fleetwood, Lancashire FY7 6AJ, and

Walney Library, Central Drive, Walney Island, Barrow in Furness LA14 3HY.

Representations or objections on navigational grounds in respect of the application should be made in writing, giving an address to which correspondence relating to the representation or objection may be sent to Musa Jabbar, Marine and Fisheries Agency, Marine Environment Team, Ergon House, Horseferry Road, London SW1P 2AL, or alternatively emailed to Musa.Jabbar@mfa.gsi.gov.uk, within 28 days of the date of this notice, quoting reference 34471/090608.

The Secretary of State will pass to the applicant a copy of any objection or representation he receives.
