Kirklees Metropolitan Council - Highways Service intends to carry out substantial road works involving Resurfacing and Traffic Calming

• 2 The streets in which these works will take place are
  • i Leymoor Road, Longwood (USRN 19422789) and
  • ii Leymoor Road, Golcar (USRN 19422788, Huddersfield
  ii Leymoor Road, Golcar (USRN 19422788, Huddersfield
• 3 Work is expected to affect the carriageway / footway between
  • i Stoney Lane to Bryan Terrace and
  • ii Bryan Terrace to Swallow Lane.
  ii Bryan Terrace to Swallow Lane.
• 4 Work is expected to commence on 26/10/2009 and be completed by 06/11/2009

(Work should begin within six months of this date).

• 5 The works notified will include the following:-

Construction of Traffic Calming and Resurfacing of Carriageway and Footways

• 6 Subject to exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed for a period of 3 years from completion of works described in paragraph 5 without the consent of the said Highway Authority which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
• 7 Statutory undertakers are asked to note that, for the purposes of section 55 of the Act they must give notice of any works in their schedule of works, or works of which they may be aware, which would involve breaking up the part of the highway to which this reinstatement will apply within 20 days of the publication of this notice.
