The Queen has been pleased to approve that Dr Robert John Giles Bloomer OBE DL, be appointed the Vice Lord Lieutenant for South Yorkshire to act as Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant during his absence from the area due to sickness or other inability to act.

The appointment will take place immediately.
