Kirklees Metropolitan Council - Highways Service intends to carry out substantial road works involving Reconstruction

• 2 The street in which these works will take place is:-

Market Street (USRN 19402588), Paddock, Huddersfield

• 3 Work is expected to affect the carriageway / footway between:-

Longroyd Lane and Church Street

• 4 Work is expected to commence on: - 01/08/2010 and be completed by :- 30/11/2010 (Work should begin within six months of this date).
• 5 The works notified will include the following:-

Carriageway and footway reconstruction and new kerbs

• 6 Subject to exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed for a period of 5 years from completion of works described in paragraph without the consent of the said Highway Authority which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
• 7 Statutory undertakers are asked to note that, for the purposes of section 55 of the Act they must give notice of any works in their schedule of works, or works of which they may be aware, which would involve breaking up the part of the highway to which this reinstatement will apply within 20 days of the publication of this notice.
