The Queen has been pleased by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm dated in the afternoon of 22 July 2010 to confer the dignity of a Barony of the United Kingdom for life upon the Right Honourable Desmond Henry Browne, by the name, style and title of Baron Browne of Ladyton, of Ladyton in Ayrshire and Arran.
