NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925

APPLICABLE TO THE PENSION PLAN ONLY

MBNA EUROPE BANK LIMITED PENSION PLAN (PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS THE MBNA INTERNATIONAL BANK LIMITED PLAN)

PENSION PLAN IN WIND UP

Pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925, notice is hereby given that the MBNA Europe Bank Limited Pension Plan (“the Plan”) is in wind-up. The Trustees have sent a notice to this effect to all known Members of the Plan (for whom we hold contact details) in accordance with the Occupational Pension Scheme (Disclosure of Information) Regulations 1996. Any other person (including, but not limited to, any former employees, whether full or part-time, of MBNA Europe Bank Limited (formerly called MBNA International Bank Limited), or Premium Credit Limited (a participating employer of the Pension Plan since 1 st February 2004), who is or believes that he or she is a member of the Plan but who has not been contacted about the winding-up, or anyone who believes they have any interest, claim or entitlement to benefits in the Plan is asked to write and provide details of their membership, interest, claim or entitlement to the Trustees of the MBNA Europe Bank Limited Pension Plan, c/o the Plan administrator at the following address:

Please quote the Plan name, your name and your National Insurance Number in all correspondence.

You must contact us within 2 months of the date of publication of this notice i.e. no later than 20 October 2010 . After expiry of the 2 month period the Trustees will distribute the assets of the Plan amongst the persons entitled to them, having regard only to claims of which they then have had notice. The Trustees of the Plan shall not then be liable for the assets of the Plan or any part of them so distributed to any person or persons of whose claims or demands they have not had notice by the date stated in this announcement.

If you are already receiving a pension, or have received correspondence from the Plan in respect of the wind-up you do not need to write to the Trustees as they already have details about your entitlements.
