MERSEY CONSERVANCY ACT
UNITED UTILITIES BOREHOLES SANDON DOCK OUTFALL
I hereby give notice, pursuant to section 9 of the Act 5 & 6 Victoria, Cap.cx, entitled “An Act for better preserving the Navigation of the River Mersey”, that I have received from United Utilities Water PLC a notice dated 13 October 2010 of their intention to undertake site investigation works (5 no. boreholes) within the River Mersey as part of preliminary works for a scheme to lay a new outfall from Liverpool waste water treatment works at Sandon Dock, Liverpool. The boreholes will be sunk into the riverbed to a maximum depth of 12 m beside a line extending approximately 100 m east from Sandon Half Tide Entrance. Plans have been deposited at this office.
