THE BROMLEY (ON STREET PARKING PLACES)(PETTS WOOD AREA) ORDER 2001 (AMENDMENT NO. 8) ORDER 2011.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley hereinafter called “the Council” on 12th April 2011 made the above-mentioned Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Section 8 of and Part I of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985 and all other powers enabling, which will come into operation on 26 th April 2011.

The effect of the Orders will be to:-

  • a introduce waiting restrictions as specified in the Schedule to this notice;
  • b introduce free parking places as specified in the Schedule to this notice;
  • c remove one Pay & Display bay on the north side of Woodhurst Avenue nearest to its junction with Queensway to allow vehicular access to an adjacent property .

The Notice of Making the above Orders in experimental form published in the News Shopper and The London Gazette on 25 November 2009 contained a statement that the Council would be considering in due course whether the provisions of the experimental Orders should be continued in force indefinitely. The Council has carefully considered and has decided that they should be so continued.

A copy of the Orders and the Experimental Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive in the Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley.

Any persons desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

WAITING RESTRICTIONS

No Waiting At Any Time:-

CREST VIEW DRIVE, Petts Wood, the north west to south east spur, (a) the north east side, from the south eastern kerbline of Merton Gardens south eastwards for a distance of 10m; (b) the south west side, from the south eastern kerbline of Merton Gardens south eastwards for a distance of 14m.

CROFTON LANE, Petts Wood, the east side, from a point 6m north of a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 131 & 133 northwards to a point 2m north of a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 139 & 141.

CROSSWAY, Petts Wood, the east side, from a point 18.29m south of the southern kerbline of Wood Ride northwards to a point 1m north of the common boundary of Nos. 24 & 26.

MERTON GARDENS, Petts Wood, the south east side, from a point 10m south west of the south western kerbline of Crest View Drive north eastwards to a point 10m north east of the north eastern kerbline of Crest View Drive.

RYECROFT ROAD, Petts Wood, the west side, from a point 3m south of the common boundary of Nos. 16 & 18 southwards to the party wall of Nos. 22 & 24.

ST GEORGES ROAD, Petts Wood, the north west side, from the north eastern kerbline of St. John’s Road north eastwards for a distance of 19m.

WOODHURST AVENUE, Petts Wood, the even numbered side, from the south western kerbline of Queensway south westwards for a distance of 18m.

No Waiting between 8am and 10am on Mondays to Fridays inclusive:-

CREST VIEW DRIVE, Petts Wood, the north west to south east spur, the north east side, from a point 10m south east of the south eastern kerbline of Merton Gardens south eastwards to a point 1m south east of the front flank wall of No. 74.

ST. JOHN’S ROAD, Petts Wood, the south west side, from the south eastern flank wall of No. 67 south eastwards to a point 5m south east of the common boundary of Nos. 55 & 57.

No Waiting between 8am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive:-

CREST VIEW DRIVE, Petts Wood, the north west to south east spur, the south west side, from a point 14m south east of the south eastern kerbline of Merton Gardens south eastwards to a point 1m south east of the front flank wall of No. 84.

FREE PARKING PLACES

CREST VIEW DRIVE, Petts Wood, the north east side, (i) from a point 1m south east of the front flank wall of No. 74 north westwards for a distance of 25m. (approx 5 parking spaces); (ii) from a point 10m south east of the south eastern kerbline of Merton Gardens south eastwards for a distance of 33m. (approx 6 parking spaces).

EASTBURY ROAD, Petts Wood, (a) the north side, (i) from a point 6m west of the party wall of Nos. 9 & 11 eastwards for a distance of 10m. (2 parking spaces); (ii) from a point 5m west of the party wall of Nos. 13 & 15 eastwards for a distance of 11m (2 parking spaces); (b) the south side, (i) from a point 5m west of the party wall of Nos. 8 & 10 eastwards for a distance of 10m (2 parking spaces); (ii) from a point 3m west of the party wall of Nos. 16 & 18 eastwards for a distance of 5m (1 parking space).
