The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that she has made an Order under section 82(2), 83(1) and 122A of, and paragraph 27(1) of Schedule 9 to, the Legislation: Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A46Trunk Road between Widmerpool and Farndon in the County of Nottinghamshire.

The effect of the order, which comes into force on 22 March 2012, will be to maintain the national speed limit on the lengths of the A46 and connecting roads described in the schedule to this notice, which would otherwise be subject to a speed limit of 30 miles per hour as a result of the street lighting installed on those lengths.

The Order will apply to the new road layout constructed as a result of the A46 Newark to Widmerpool improvement scheme.
