ACQUISITION OF LAND ACT 1981
THE A1 TRUNK ROAD (ELKESLEY JUNCTIONS IMPROVEMENT COMPULSORY PURCHASE) ORDER (NOD NO.5) 2012
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of her powers under the above Acts, on 12 March 2012 made with modifications the A1Trunk Road (Elkesley Junctions Improvement Compulsory Purchase) Order (NOD No.5) 2012.
The Order as made provides for the purchase for the purpose of:
- a the construction of the new trunk slip roads in the Parish of Elkesley in the District of Bassetlaw in the County of Nottinghamshire in pursuance of the Trunk Road Order;
- b the construction and improvement of highways and the provision of new means of access to premises in that parish and district in pursuance of the Side Roads Order;
- c the improvement of the Trunk Road in that parish and district;
- d use by the Secretary of State for Transport in connection with such construction and improvement of highways; and
- e the mitigation of any adverse effects which the existence or use of the highways proposed to be constructed or improved will have on their surroundings of the land which is described in the Schedule and is delineated and shown coloured pink on the map and the rights described in that Schedule over the land described in it and delineated and coloured blue on the map.
A copy of the Order as made and of the map referred to therein have been deposited at the offices of the Highways Agency The Cube, 199 Wharfside Street, Birmingham B1 1RN and at the following places Elkesley Memorial Hall, High Street, Elkesley, Nottinghamshire; Elkesley Store Lawnwood Lane, Elkesley, Retford, Nottinghamshire ; Retford Library, Churchgate, Retford and Nottinghamshire County Council, Trent Bridge House, Fox Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 6BJ and may be seen there at all reasonable hours.
The Order as made becomes operative on the date on which this notice is first published; but a person aggrieved by the Order may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from that date, question its validity on the grounds that the authorisation granted by the Order is not empowered to be granted or that there has been a failure to comply with any relevant statutory requirement relating to the Order.
