TRANSPORT AND WORKS ACT 1992

The Minister for Housing and Regeneration, one of the Welsh Ministers, gives notice under section 14(1)(b) (2A) and (3A) of the Transport and Works Act 1992 (“the Act”) that they have determined under section 13(1) of the Act to make with modifications the Network Rail (Pont Briwet) (Land Acquisition) Order 2013

The Order was applied for by Network Rail Infrastructure Limited of Kings Place, 90 York Way, London N1 9AG. The Order will confer powers on Network Rail for the compulsory acquisition of land and interests in land, the extinguishment of rights in land (including rights of common) and the temporary use of land in connection with the reconstruction of the bridge and its approaches carrying the railway across the River Dwyryd at Penrhyndeudraeth, Gwynedd.

The Welsh Ministers have, pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Act, given notice of their determination by way of decision letter dated 14 March 2013, copies of which may be obtained from Decisions Branch, Planning Division, Welsh Government, Crown Buildings, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NQ. That letter gives the reasons for the determination; the considerations upon which it is based; information about the public participation process; and information regarding the right to challenge the validity of the determination and the procedure for doing so.
