FORMER OWNER (CRICHEL DOWN) CONSIDERATIONS
FORMER MEDICAL CENTRE AT RAF UPWOOD, BURY, NR RAMSEY, CAMBRIDGESHIRE
Medical Centre at RAF Upwood, Nr Ramsey, Cambridgeshire has been declared surplus to requirements and is being put forward for disposal. The Crichel Down Rules require Government Departments, under certain circumstances, to offer back surplus land to the former owner or the former owner’s successors at the current market value.
It has been decided in this instance that an exception or exceptions under the Crichel Down Rules do apply and that the land will not be offered back to the former owners or their successors in title.
The land was acquired under the following conveyances:
John Rowell (1) Elizabeth Rowell (2) and the President of the Air Council (3) dated 29.02.1936
Edward Mornington Rowell (1) Elizabeth Rowell (2) and The President of the Air Council (3) dated 29.02 1936
The former owners or their successors are invited to contact Defence Infrastructure Organisation in person or through their solicitors or agents in writing within two months of the date of this notice. Any correspondence should be addressed to:

Successors should state the basis of their entitlement as successor to the Former Owner and provide evidence of such entitlement.
